The first time Kyle stepped foot in the PM, he was in 4th grade. After experiencing the raw power of the mighty steelhead, he was hooked. The following fall, he landed his first king and the deal was sealed. Throughout high school every meager pay check was immediately put into his gas tank to get to and from the river to pursue the migratory species as well as the resident brown trout of the Pere Marquette. After graduating high school, he spent the following 5 summers guiding in the Bristol Bay region of Alaska. After he honed his guiding skills up north, he finally went all-in and got a house in Baldwin with his girlfriend (now his wife and she still out fishes him regularly) to begin his guiding career in Michigan. From fooling giant browns on the Au Sable to wrestling smallmouth on the Muskegon to tailing a hot fall steelhead on the PM, Kyle has experienced a lot of what this great state has to offer in terms of fly fishing opportunities. His unrivaled patience and laid back attitude makes him a delight with clients. He is great with introducing new-comers to the sport and putting seasoned fly anglers on the big ones.
